On November 3, Mr.Xu Song, Vice Chairman and CEO of CMPort, met with Mr.Alex Sandro de Ávila, Deputy Minister of Ports and Airports of Brazil, at CMPort Building in Shenzhen, China. Views were exchanged on further deepening cooperation, and the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between CMPort and APPA was signed under the witness. Mr.Huang Zhenzhou, CFO of CMPort, also attended the meeting.

Mr.Xu Song warmly welcomed the visit of Mr.Alex Sandro de Ávila and his team, and thanked the Brazilian government for its long-term support to CMPort’s project development in Brazil, especially under the leadership and care of Mr. Alex Sandro de Ávila, the TCP project has made great progress. He said that the good business environment in Brazil and the support of authoritis are the confidence basis for Chinese companies to invest and develop in Brazil. He hopes that the Brazilian government will continue to support the TCP expansion project and CMPort’s new project expansion in Brazil.

Mr.Alex Sandro de Ávila expressed his confidence in the future development of TCP, and expressed his appreciation for the achievements of CMPort in global professional management capabilities, green terminals and smart terminal development. He also hoped that CMPort could further expand its container business in Paranagua.

During the meeting, Mr.Xu Song and Mr.Alex Sandro de Ávila witnessed the signing of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between CMPort and APPA. The agreement aims to cooperate in a friendly manner, expand investment in Brazil, especially in Paranagua, jointly promote the development of green and smart ports, apply new technologies, and improve the quality of port services. In addition, joint promotion to sustainable development through talent exchanges and technical cooperation were also agreed on both sides.

The meeting aims to strengthen the cooperation between CMPort and APPA, and explore the cooperation consensus and development opportunities on both sides in container port business, new port project development and project sustainable development. This marks that the cooperation between CMPort and APPA has come to a new phase. Promoting the development of port business and contributing to the growth of trade between the two countries and regional economic development will be the main work scope in the future.
