Trainees have several benefits and the opportunity to grow professionally at one of the country’s largest port terminals

As of this Tuesday (13), university students can sign up to take part in the second phase of TCP’s 2024 Internship Program. The company that manages the Paranaguá Container Terminal has vacancies in the controllership, occupational health and safety, maintenance, warehouse and commercial sectors, among others. The application period closes on August 27.

With opportunities available in Paranaguá and Curitiba, graduates of TCP’s Internship Program work 30 hours a week and receive a stipend, health insurance, meal vouchers and other benefits.

With a team of more than 20 interns, the Terminal has a high retention rate, which reached 73% by the end of 2023. “TCP’s Internship Program offers students the opportunity to develop their technical, leadership and planning skills, carrying out their activities under the guidance of our managers. Our aim is to prepare and retain new talent within the company,” explains Washington Renan Bohnn, human resources and quality manager.

Civil engineering student João Vitor Alves de Araújo Silva is an example of success: he joined the Terminal as a trainee in 2022 and was hired in February this year as a commercial analyst. “TCP was a school for me, because here I was able to develop technical and interpersonal skills, always with the help and guidance of my manager. These are lessons that I will take with me not only into my academic life, but also throughout my professional career,” he said.

TCP is the largest private employer on the coast of Paraná and has a team of more than 1,600 employees, spread across Paranaguá, Curitiba and Ortigueira. With constant investment and successive productivity records, the Terminal continues to grow and generate new opportunities: in the first half of 2024 alone, 205 new hires were made.

Registration

The second phase of TCP’s Internship Program has a new partner: the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL). As well as managing the contracts, IEL will also be responsible for the initial stages of the admission process, applying tests, screening and selecting candidates.

Applications can be made until August 27 on the website talento.ielpr.com.br
