TCP

The special cargo sector team from the Chinese shipowner Cosco visited the structure and got to know the records and investments in the terminal

On Friday (23), COSCO Specialized’s leadership team visited the Paranaguá Container Terminal (TCP). COSCO Specialized is part of the Chinese COSCO Shipping Group and controls more than 100 vessels, including breakbulk, project cargo and RORO vessels.

During the visit, the team was welcomed by the TCP team and was shown the operational structure of the terminal, as well as detailed information about the investments, which will be made focusing on the growth of volume and greater range of services for customers. COSCO Specialized representatives were present: the executive vice-president, Dong Yuhang; vice-general manager of timber supply chain management, Xiaotian Du; container team manager, Lin Shujie; and manager of purchasing and maritime operations of Cosco Shipping Brazil, Thiago Nunes.

A feature that strengthens the partnership between the two companies is that TCP, which is part of the portfolio of China Merchants Port Holding Company (CMPort), has a large and modern structure to serve shipowners. According to the shipowners’ manager, Carolina Brown, “CMPort is investing heavily in the terminal precisely to increasingly meet the demands of our customers, as is the case of COSCO Specialized.
